Collection Management Technician (Reports Officer):

Location: Initially in, but not
limited to, the Middle East
Education required:
An Associates Degree or higher and three years experience
in the intelligence field, primarily in collection
management.
Responsibilities:
Technicians will conduct liaison with other customer team
members to identify the highest priority information
requirements. Experience in Collection Requirements writing
and requirements development is required. Technicians need
to have experience in responding to time-sensitive
collection. They will provide focus, guidance, and
prioritization for the Defense Intelligence Agency’s
Document Exploitation (DOCEX) –customer team effort. They are
also responsible for prioritizing team linguist assets and
IR writers overall work efforts and maintaining focus on
priorities in a high operations tempo. The technicians will
also require strong organizational skills. Technicians need
to be familiar with collection management related
regulations/manuals, to include customer Manuals, Operational
Policy Memorandums, and other DoD IR related directive
documentation. Technicians will also be responsible for
writing various reports to include: Intelligence Information
Reports (IIRs), Intelligence Spot Reports, Knowledge Ability
Briefs (KBs), and Contact Coordination Requests (CCRs) to
name a few.
Experience, Skills and Background required:
Technicians must be physically capable of functioning in
a high operations tempo division. Must have the ability to
communicate well orally, in writing, and be skilled in proof
reading. Experienced using Microsoft Office applications
(Word, Excel, Access, Power Point). Have extensive
experience in word processing, typing, editing, using office
machines, and databases. Technicians may be subject to
working in harsh or hostile conditions, including field
conditions (i.e. tents). They must be willing to deploy to
live and work in a potentially hostile environment
designated by the U.S. government as an Imminent Danger Zone
or Hostile Fire Zone. Additionally Technicians must be
willing and able to be a member of a mobile team to include
operations outside U.S. controlled camps, installations and
facilities. Technicians must be able to carry 50 lb.
Salary range: includes quarterly bonuses (Baghdad
only)
Special Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen and must have a minimum of Top
Secret/SCI clearance level. Previous military or Combat
Support Agency experience is desired.
