Education
required: BS in relevant
discipline such as Accounting, Marketing, Economics,
Business Management or Business Administration, or BS/BA in
another discipline with extensive course work and experience
in relevant subjects. Four years of additional
experience (of which at least two years must be specialized
experience) may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Responsibilities:
The procurement analyst is responsible for researching,
compiling, developing, tracking, and maintaining data for
monthly balance and expenditure reports. The analyst
evaluate price and cost with respect to travel, direct labor
overhead and indirect costs. The procurement analyst
will conduct or participate in procurement reviews and or
training workshops. The analyst will develop
instructional materials on procurement and simplified
acquisition contracting process. Be able to identify
anomalies, implementing corrective actions and evaluating
progress on a continual basis to monitor problem areas and
recommended solutions for accomplishments of major and minor
task assigned. Be familiar with Management Information
Systems
Experience, Skills
and Background required: The
analyst must stay current on changes to codes and
regulations related to department activities. Manage
time, meet deadlines and maintain camaraderie and employee
morale in a challenging and sometimes stressful work
environment. The analyst must have four to six years
experience in the procurement field. Need knowledge of
different contract types and proficient in the use of
Windows Office Suite (e.g. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and
Excel).
Special Requirements:
Pass/Eligible Background customer security check process (e.g.
criminal, credit). Must be a U. S. citizen and must be
able to obtain, and maintain a Secret personnel security
clearance.
