Hardware Technician - Deployable (C647)

Reports to:  Program/Project Manager

Supervises: N/A

Education required: A+ and Net+ certifications.

Responsibilities:

Perform remedial and preventive maintenance, repairs and/or installation of customer equipment.  Perform installation and maintenance of servers, workstations, printers, scanners, and associated peripherals.  Provide support and resolve problems for network infrastructure to include routers, switches, hubs, communications wiring, fiber, patching and documentation of residential cable systems.  Conduct troubleshooting, research and planning relating to ADP equipment and other associated infrastructure.  Provide support to LANs and various security classes.

Experience, Skills and Background required:

Must be a detailed–oriented professional with a minimum of 5 years hardware technician experience and also have A+ and Net+ certifications.  Individual is required to have a working knowledge of operating systems to include Solaris and Windows NT/98/2000/XP.  

Special Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen and must have a minimum of Top Secret/SCI clearance level.  These positions require individuals to deploy up to twice a year for 30-90 days per deployment.  The individual must have the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, to stand or be on ones feet for an extended period of time. The candidate must have ability to climb ladders and work in enclosed area and work with small color-coded items in less then perfect lightings. Additionally, the individual must be able to distinguish between colors and see small details with vision correction, (when required).
